I drove my beautiful, 67 SS Chevelle from Philadelphia all the way to North Carolina 418 miles each way and not one hiccup. 496 big block with 700 horsepower T 56 six speed and 411 rear. Best road trip I ever had in my life. Well, because of circumstances….. unfortunately my Chevelle is gone now I had to sell it …… along with all my guitars drums and everything I had. I kept one guitar custom I...

Well, that’s not the case …… I love my children and my grandchildren more than anything in the world and unfortunately I had to sell most of my possessions . I sold my black les Paul, which I owned for ...

Just broke2 different cans. Nicely Done! Thanks!
Nice. Love a great guitars tone without an amp!
Little jump. Wouldn’t ya say
They gave the guy a two second Headstart Dylan smoked him anyways
what if the straw come out of the can and gets broken🤔🤨😁
Finally someone who’s not trying to make a huge production out of a 3 min video. I never knew this trick and seeing how I gotta take out the starter anyway to change it, I am going to try this instead. Thank you for the video. Hopefully it saves me some cash. Thank you very much
@@mookandairin thanks man. I feel the same way I ain’t got time for all the BS these people pump in the videos so they can make $.49 add music and make a production out of it like a rockstar. …… just a simple fact is all anybody needs to post. Ps. This is only for the old style 60s and 70s and 80s GM starters this can’t be done with the new stuff.
thanks man, costed me one minute and problem was solved 👍
Absolutely frigging stunning. I can only hope to get mine looking so dam clean someday after 15 years!
Thanks man !!!! ….. hit me up on Facebook. I have the whole entire folder in my pictures.
@@alienaxe Will do brother
Great video and very informative. Straight to the point. Good job. 👍
This was recorded with an iPhone 4 ….. ancient technology 🤣
Thank you sir!!! 65 Malibu SS back on the road no air or water comin in these seals 😎 buying you a beer in spirit
That’s awesome man. I’m glad it worked out. I used to go down to the junkyard when I was a kid and play around with all this stuff so after all these years, I got good at it
Thanks very much for the good tutorial…much appreciated. I have a 67 Chevelle convertible that I had the top repaired on and now I need to readjust the windows..done it before, but I’m sure would like to see how your door glass fits up to the top seal of the top…that’s been a tough one for me and I’m trying to get the seal as best I can….thanks very much.
Great song playing - best band in the galaxy.
Hi Jessie - you are a superstar. Thanks a million
Ty
Excellent video. No nonsense and straight to the point. Much appreciated sir 👍
Nice jam man, keep it up
Sir, you just save me some money! Thank you!
Excellent Video! I remembered doing this years ago but had forgotten about those terminals. Thanks!
Good working sir 😊😊😊 support me sir 😊😊
Why would they make a product that you have to grind or cut material off of ? Sounds sketchy lol
I had this happen on my 97 GMC sierra, I heard a grinding sound and I pulled off on to the side of the road and turned off my truck and took the key out of the ignition and the starter started cranking with the truck turned off and starter kept spinning the until I heard a pop and a small fire broke out, thankfully there was no serious damage to the truck.
Can this be done to a 98 Buick century limited?
Hi Connie ! First, I need to know what size engine your car has so I lnow which starter is in your car… and then I can tell You more.
Excellent, Jesse.
going to try this. thx.
Love it👍🏽
Brilliant 😂
Thank you for the video I have a 66 GTO convertible are the adjustments the same as the 67 GTO convertible? Thank you.
Yes, all of the “A” body cars 64 to 67 are the same. And the adjustments are basically the same from 68 to 72 but they eliminated the vent windows in those years except for the 68 Chevelle that retained the vent windows ….. thank you
My oldest, Amanda, wants to know if she can have it. She loves muscle cars!! 💖
Very expensive car this one is….. I’d love to have it myself 😁
I have a 67 GTO convertible like the one in your video. Great information. Question- vent window in driver door hits top of frame on same side as handle. So, the vent window is not parallel in the frame. Can’t figure out how to adjust it?
Scott, are you on Facebook or messenger ? You can look me up Jesse Petas My profile has a yellow 67 Chevelle on it. And then, if you can send me pics of the issue with your vent window, I can help you correct it
7-18-2024, wow I must be a year off, i thought it was 2023 still
Hahaha thanks !!! ….. I didn’t even realize it 🤣🤣🤣
Young man and just happened to me recently I try to take it back to the store they went exchange it so I'm left with a full can of Liberty I'm going to try your trick today thank you very much
I have learned that it does work on some cans and now there is other cans where it does not work cause they make it unrepairable ……. This is so wrong to rip us off like this.
@@alienaxe well I'm going to give it a shot once again thank you very much everything I'll keep you posted
What the...? That's awesome. I'm going to try this on my Kohler generator tomorrow! Thanks!
Just an FYI, …..I don’t know what your generator solenoid looks like and my video is meant for vintage General Motors cars
@@alienaxe thanks for the warning.
@@alienaxe clearly, if it's different, it will be different, but if it's the same, then bingo!
Wow! I dropped a wrench on the leads 0f mine on my 67 Camaro- it quit two days later- I went thru hell with tow damaged in shipment whole starts from Jegs(damn kids packing them). I wish I saw this video 1ST.
Sometimes you can’t get the disc off the shaft because it doesn’t have a C clip, but you can clean it on the wire wheel and sand. It down smooth and it will work just as good.
Thank you, I have an 83 chevy c20 I almost bought a new selinoid for today and found your video. I'll see how that works in the morning. I greatly appreciate it.
Thanks from a Ford guy......how do I seperate the solinoid from starter??
If you’re talking about a Ford…… The solenoid is on the fender well and not on the starter If you’re talking about a GM like I have in my hand, there’s two screws that hold it onto the starter and one screw in the very front with a copper sleeve . Once you remove them, you twist the solenoid, and it will fall off in your hand, along with the spring that goes behind it.
@@alienaxe My 46 Ford has a GM 350/350 combo....so Thanks
That boy is busier than a one legged firewalker . I say that dog just burns me up , firewalker , burns ? I just made a funny son, I' m too fast for you !
I say that one went over your head son , try and pay attention to me when I talk to you son ,
My son and I just put the left door on our 66 Chevelle and I was a lot easier with your information. Thanks.
Just make sure there’s not too much pressure on the vent window when you shut the door. Take a good look at it from the inside when you close it to make sure it’s even and not pushing out. 👍
Awesome!! You rock!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Thank you !!!!
Long live my man
Thank you !
Couldn't see the win light, which lane won?
Chevelle won
You can hear the announcer mention Dylan Cassell at the end
You should be able to zoom in on it. Also by stretching the video with your fingers.
@alienaxe TY my friend! I SUBSCRIBED
Pretty bad ass mini jam session there. Right on! Just watched your video tip about rebuilding a starter solenoid. Thanx, my all numbers matching 66 Buick Skylark two door hardtop w/ the four barrel Buick 340 V8 with headers & 3 inch pipes & turbine 300 two speed transmission thanks you ever so kindly! Gigantic gratitude my friend!!
Wonderful. I've been operating on borrowed time. I've had a new starter (A/C Delco) in the garage for a couple of months waiting to get around to it. This is the week, new front shacks, new rotors, pads, reconditioned the calipers, front crank seal, and today, the starter. Before I put that brand new starter in I'm going to try to recondition the solenoid of my current starter as you've demonstrated.
I just want to be clear that this is for vintage cars only because the newer starters are not like this. And thank you.
@@alienaxe It's a 98 C3500, the solenoid was just as you showed. It would've worked but I dropped and could not find a part, that part being the bushing or ferrule that the longest screw goes through into the solenoid, on this particular starter. I may have changed it once before, I would've used O'Reilly's.
@@erniemenard7727 yes, that part can’t be purchased by it self. I think it only comes with a new solenoid dam sorry to hear that .
@@erniemenard7727 I wanted to also let you know they make solenoids in 2 lengths …. The long one may not need that sleeve. And the screws and sleeves still come with it . So you cold try asking for a heavy duty solenoid for like a 67 Chevelle 396. Then you will have the screw and sleeve and an extra solenoid
Sick!
Thank you !!!!❤
Great video. Loved the way you explained the process of adjustment. Videos like this are hard to find on our '60s cars. Keep passing on your knowledge on things like this. I appreciate it and I've been working on cars for over 55 years. Always learning something new. Thank you.
Love blues! Well done, mate!
I pulled off the starter to my 1950 Chevrolet Deluxe last night . I suspected the solenoid as the issue. I have replaced many in my lifetime. I watched you video . Did exactly as you instructed. The starter works perfect now !!! Thank you ! Mike Pack
Awesome !!! .. glad to hear it . I learned this from an old man back in the 70s when my car died in the middle of the highway and he helped me push it to the side and help me remove the starter and fix it right there on the sidewalk.
Hilarious 😁
Awesome brother 👏
Sounds good 👍!
Thank you !
